COMPETITON & STRUCTURE

Competition Format:

Hockey 5's competition Mixed teams - 2 Divisions 2 concurrent fields Each game - 2x18min halves, 5min half timeRound robin format - Pool options may be considered subject to numbers Modified rules: Play to follow FIH rules with the following exception • Raising or lifting the ball above knee height is not permitted • Any instance of raising the ball above knee height will be penalised, irrespective of whether it was intentionalGoalkeepers may not simply ‘lie down’ to prevent goals being scored. Diving is permitted.
$475 entry per team Includes all umpires
Proposed Schedule - subject to change based on entry numbers Fri 6th - Games from 6pm Sat 7th- Games from 9am Sun 8th- Games from 9am
Finals Sun 8th - 3 & 4 PM

Team composition:

Teams to be comprised of players residing within the same postcode As verifiable by their licence or other identification. For the purposes of this competition 3844 is divided into North & South at the Princes highway.
Minority postcodes with insufficient numbers to have a team may join a team a team that is either: a) physically adjacent to their postcode – per map (or) b) numerically adjacent to their postcode (i.e 3824 could join 3823 or 3825)
Players who still do not fall within a team may apply for an exemption to play with a specific team Exemptions requests should be directed to competitionmanager.lvha@gmail.com

Uniform:

Teams to specify shirt and sock colour/s at time of entry Clash socks/uniform may be required. Teams will be notified after entries received. Player numbers are not required

Players:

  • Teams to consist of up to 10 named players including up to 2 goalkeepers
  • Named team must consist of at least 3 of each gender
  • All players must be registered with HV
  • During play, Teams must have at least 2 of each gender on field includes GK.
  • Players must be at least 16yrs of age to participate. No junior exemptions will be considered
  • Field players may only be entered in one team, in one division.
  • GK's may be named in one team for each division
LVHA reserve the right to allocate teams to a different division than entered
